Who can hire from MiniHire?

ID, security & privacy
Why do you need my ID?

What if my ID upload fails?
Try better lighting, no glare, full document in frame; contact Phil if stuck.
Do you use AI or automated checks?

Towing & trailer
Do I need a suitable tow vehicle?

What if I arrive and my vehicle isn't suitable?

Is the trailer included?

Pickup / return
Where do I pick up and return?
BP Port Kennedy (unless booking states otherwise).
What are pickup/return hours?
Mon–Fri 6:00am–6:00pm; Sat–Sun 7:00am–6:00pm (as displayed on site).
How does pickup work?
You'll get a pickup code; show it to BP staff. Keys are handed over in a 30‑minute window before your start time (time‑locked).
What is the 30‑minute key handover window?
Keys become available shortly before your booked start time; BP staff hand them over when you show your code. If you arrive early, you may need to wait until the window opens.
What if BP staff can't help with keys?

What about after-hours pickup or return?
Pickup and return only during our hours (Mon–Fri 6am–6pm; Sat–Sun 7am–6pm). No after-hours handover. Plan your timing accordingly.
How does return work?
Return machine/trailer as instructed, secure it, and complete any return steps provided.
Late returns & extensions
What if I'm running late?

Bond, payments, fees
Is there a bond?

Damage, liability, insurance
What does "liable" mean in plain English?

What are examples of damage I might be liable for?

What if I damage the machine or property?

Do I need to refuel?

What does "reasonably clean" mean?
Normal dirt from use is fine. Reasonably clean means no excessive mud, concrete, clay, or material that needs scraping or extra labour to remove. (Source: Terms Feb 2026)
What triggers a cleaning fee?
Excessive mud, dried concrete or clay, returning with a bucket full of material, or anything needing extra labour to clean. (Source: Terms Feb 2026)
Can I return with the bucket full?

Do I need to clean it?

Can MiniHire deliver?

Safety basics
What is an exclusion zone?

What about trench collapse risk?

Do I need to "Dial Before You Dig" (BYDA)?
